Protection

IDMT Protection & Feeder Management Relays
- We tested, commissioned new and refurbished panels. The relays have
ranged from the old PBO relay from English Electric to the latest from
Multilin. The commissioning scope includes, mag. curves of CTs, primary
injection, resistance of CT circuit, checking of wiring, contact
resistance of circuit breaker and time grading of relays to your
settings. We also do feeder management relays. Our relay of choice is
the Multilin range. We design panels for special applications and
update schematics for all our work.

Cable Differential Relays
- The commissioning scope includes, mag. curves of CTs, primary injection,
resistance of CT circuit, checking of wiring, calculating & setting
of the padding resistance, contact resistance of circuit breaker. Note,
the pilot cable should be in a working condition and the far end should
have matching CT mag. curves and relay.

Transformer Differential Protection Relays
- The commissioning scope includes, mag. curves of primary &
secondary CTs, checking of wiring, contact resistance of circuit breakers,
testing of transformer trips & alarms, cooling fans & oil
circulating pumps, restrained earth fault, sustained earth fault and
stability tests
High Voltage Motor Protection & Motor Management Relays
- The commissioning scope includes, mag. curves of primary &
secondary CTs, checking of wiring, contact resistance of circuit breaker,
installing & testing of bearing temperature
trips & alarms, vibration sensors, oil circulating
pumps for lubrication and differential earth fault.

Power Quality Recording and Analysis
- We install recorders and analyse power quality for harmonics,
power factor and disturbances. There after install equipment to
rectify the problems and moniter remotely on an ongoing basis via
modems.

Earthing Survey and Analysis
- We conduct earthing surveys and analysethe data and recommend an
earthing design, on the average, we find that the analysis renders
the required earthing.
